A Novel Hybrid Optimization Technique for Complex System Design

Abstract

Designing complex systems often involves balancing multiple conflicting objectives. This paper introduces a novel hybrid optimization technique combining genetic algorithms (GAs) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) to solve multi-objective optimization problems. The proposed method is applied to engineering design scenarios, including aerospace and automotive systems, demonstrating improved convergence speed and solution quality. Comparative analysis with traditional methods highlights the advantages of the hybrid approach in handling large, complex search spaces. The study contributes to advancing optimization methodologies for complex system design.
